Build your own brain
Write your own private brain when you deploy an agent, edit it in place from My brains, and list it if you are a creator.
A brain is what an agent runs: a strategy in plain words, plus its venue, the data tools it may call, the model that decides and how often it checks in. Every template in the catalog is a brain. With Build your own, you write one for yourself.
Build your own is in Beta. It is new, and we are still improving it.
Build a brain
When you deploy an agent, the template grid starts with a Build your own card. It follows the Trade, Earn or Predict tab you are on.
Pick a venue
Only venues open to owners are shown. If a venue is not open to everyone yet, pick another one.
Write the strategy
Write it in plain words: which markets, when to enter, when to exit or hold, how big a position is and how much it may lose, and when to wait. Name the data and tools it reads with @. Draft with Opus and Improve with Opus can help; they use your credits. See Write your playbook.
Choose how it runs
Pick how often it checks in and which model decides. The step shows one Starting price for the brain.
Name it and continue
Give it a name and select Save and continue. You go to the usual Fund and launch step, and the agent deploys like any template.
Only you see it
- Your brain is private. It never shows in the marketplace, on public pages or on leaderboards.
- Only you read its strategy, and only you can deploy it. Other members of your organization do not see the strategy.
- Each organization can keep a limited number of private brains. When you reach it, the step says so: edit one of your brains instead of building another.
- A sponsor campaign on the brain's venue can cover your own private brains there.
Its price
A private brain is priced like any brain. It is never free. It has one price a day, set by its model and its check-ins a day, with its tools included. It starts as an estimate, and real runs set the final price. My brains shows it, for example "$1.16 a day, starting estimate" or "$1.16 a day, from 4 days of real runs". See A brain's price.
My brains
Your brains are under Templates → My brains in the dashboard. Each card shows the brain's venue, model, check-ins and price, and how its agents did: check-ins, trades, win rate, profit and loss, and what you paid to run them.
Edit a brain
Select Edit brain on a card in My brains. It opens the brain editor on that brain, with its strategy, how it runs, and Draft and Improve with Opus.
- Save brain saves it in place. There is no review: it is your brain.
- After a save, the page lists the brain's running agents. Select Update my agents now to move them to the new brain from their next check-in.
- If you do not, or an agent cannot be updated right now, it takes the edit at its next sync.
List this brain
A brain you built is never listed on its own. If you are a creator, select List this brain in My brains. It makes a listing draft with the same brain and opens it in the editor, where you add the listing name and description, choose who can read the strategy, and submit for review. EarnOrg reviews the brain's track record with it. Your private brain and its agents keep running.
